How to compare and synchronize the partition functions?

To compare and synchronize the functions of two databases, the following screenshots will show you the steps.

Step 1: Open SQL Server Comparison Expert, click "Connection" button, then the connection dialog pops up.

Step 2: Click "Option" to open the Project Option, you can select the Object Types (Partition Functions) to compare. Click "OK" to continue.

Step 3: Click "OK" in the connection dialog, select the "Compare" button to compare the differences between the two database partition functions.

Step 4: Click "Synchronize", you can find the differences of partition functions shown on the script.

Step 5: Click "Sync" to synchronize the partition functions. Then you will find the "Action" status changed from "" to "".

Step 6: Click "Structure Result", and then click "Compare" button to check the result after synchronization. If you couldn't find differences, thus, the synchronization is completed sucessfully.
