How to connect to SQL Server?

The following Screenshots will show you the steps to connect to SQL Server.
Step 1: Click the icon( start_icon) to start SQL Server Comparison Expert 2.6.5. There will be a Loading process, please wait a moment.

Step 2: After Loading the main interface of SQL Server Comparison Expert. The main interface will appear as below.


Step 3: Click the "Connection" to open connection dialog box.

Step 3.1 You need to chose a "Host", here we take the Source Connection for example (Target Connection is the same). If the Source Connection Host in local, you can selcet directly from the drop-down menu. If the Source Connection Host not in local, you need to put in the IP Address.
Step 3.2 This step you should select a "authentication type".
Step 3.3 Enter the correct "UserName" and "Password" in the dialog.
Step 3.4 Select the "DataBase" from the drop-down menu.

Note: You can exchange the Source and Target with the button ( exchange_button). With this (copy_button), you can copy the conditions from left to right.

Step 4: Click the "Option" to chose the "Object types" that you want to compare.

At last, you need to Click "OK" to finish the connection.
